This collaboration has been in the works for sometime as new sewists have been emerging in our community from all age groups. In March, right when we moved into our space in beautiful Long Beach, Covid19 hit and forced closures and "safe at home" measures were implemented. Many began sewing masks to keep everyone safe, however we received requests from our local neighborhood community for a simple tutorial to upcycle scraps to create accessories as a fun way to keep busy and learn a skill. A majority of new makers emerging are children and with Monika's help we are happy to create a kit and tutorial to show easy steps on how to create accessories for all ages and a starting point for our next generation of makers! 3 simple projects. First one does not involve a sewing machine and a perfect accessory to make for family and friends as gifts.
